SAFETY CROSSING GATE FOR PROTECTING PEDESTRIANS
Provided is a safety crossing gate for protecting pedestrians, which is interlocked with traffic lights and provided to ensure the safety of passengers crossing a crosswalk. The safety crossing gate comprises: a crossing gate body installed on a sidewalk where a crosswalk is formed; a guide way extended from the outer surface of the crossing gate body to the inside of the crossing gate body, and including a horizontal section and a vertical section; a drive unit installed inside the crossing gate body, and operated in accordance with traffic signals for a passenger and a vehicles; a barrier bar which has one end connected to the drive unit to be rotated by the operation of the drive unit, is made of synthetic resin or rubber having an elastic restoring force, and enters the guide way when forcibly rotated by an external force; and a traffic light condition capture board sending traffic light information to the crossing gate after discriminating the conditions of the traffic lights.
