The invention discloses a high-performance gel material prepared by using sludge industrial waste residue and a preparation method thereof. The material is characterized by comprising the following components in percentage by mass: 20-30 percent of sludge, 20-40 percent of composite steel slag powder, 20-40 percent of mixed material, 1-2 percent of composite activator, 5-10 percent of desulfurization ash, 2-3 percent of mirabilite and 2-4 percent of quick lime. The usage rates of industrial waste materials such as the composite steel slag powder, the desulfurization ash and the sludge are improved, so that the production cost can be effectively reduced; since the original accumulation of the type of waste materials causes heavy pollution to the environment, the influence of industrial production on the environment is further reduced and the ecological environment is protected.
