The invention discloses a zinc-nickel alloy coating for ceramic and a preparation method thereof. The zinc-nickel alloy coating comprises the following components, by mass percentage: 0.2-0.5% of carbon, 3.6-3.8% of magnesium, 7.5-7.8% of chromium, 5.9-7.2% of vanadium, 9.5-9.8% of nickel, 0.5-0.8% of calcium, 1.2-1.5% of niobium, 1.4-1.6% of molybdenum, 2.2-2.4% of barium, 0.7-0.9% of tungsten, 4.2-4.5% of zinc, 2.5-2.8% of lanthanum, 2.8-3.1% of neodymium, 5.3-5.5% of promethium, 2.2-2.4% of europium, and 9.2-9.5% of dysprosium, and balance of iron. The zinc-nickel alloy coating is further mixed with purple grit mud, kaolin and clay, wherein the zinc-nickel alloy coating, the purple grit mud, the kaolin and the clay are mixed according to the ratio of 2:1.2:1.5:3.
