The invention discloses a road construction method for strip mine. The road construction method includes the steps of: firstly, clearing the soil materials below the road pressure surface; then, mixing the cleared soil materials with sand and performing stirring; and finally, refilling the road with the mixed and stirred mixture, and spreading a wearing layer on the top, and then conducting maintenance work. According to the road construction method for strip mine, sand is mixed in a single soil material to change the road material structure and enhance the material hardness, the road transportation quality is enhanced, and the integrated road bears more enormous upper pressure in the truck transportation process. And the difficulty that existing road construction methods are difficult to meet normal transportation operation of large mechanical equipment in strip mine can be overcome.
