The invention discloses a preparation method of a surface coating layer of a metal heat shielding structure, relates to a preparation method of a surface coating layer, and solves the technical problems of low oxidation resistance and thermal radiation coefficient of a metal heat protection structure. The method comprises the steps of: (1) preparation of SiO2 sol; (2) pretreatment of a high-temperature alloy sheet; (3) preparation of raw powder; (4) preparation of a mixture; and (5) spraying and drying. The surface of the coating layer prepared by the method is smooth and compact, and the internal of the coating layer is in a porous state, so that the thermal shock resistance is greatly improved. A traditional spraying process is adopted, so that the operation is convenient, and the cost is low. A ratio of three mixed slurry is adjusted to coordinate the thermal expansion property of the coating layer so as to match with a metal matrix; a doped high radiation agent can exert a high radiation effect; the radiation coefficient of the coating layer in a preparation state is not smaller than 0.85; and the reliability of the metal heat shielding structure under a high-temperature service environment is improved. The method is used for preparing the surface coating layer of the metal heat shielding structure.
