The present invention relates to a pretension masonry wall reinforcement apparatus using steel wires, which utilizes pretension by using steel wires fixed to beams and columns in order to reinforce the internal force and ductility of a masonry wall, and a masonry wall reinforcement method using same. The pretension masonry wall reinforcement apparatus using steel wires according to the present invention is for reinforcing a masonry wall, which is erected between columns and beams, and comprises: angle members fixedly installed on the columns and beams; and pretension steel wire units which have both ends thereof respectively coupled to two adjacent angle members installed on the columns and beams and which comprise reinforcing steel wires installed in a manner that a predetermined tensile force is applied thereto, wherein the pretension steel wire units are installed so as to extend in a direction inclined at a predetermined angel with respect to the beams and columns.
