The present invention relates to modified high belite cement and a method for improving early strength of the high belite cement and aims to solve the technical problem that the conventional high belite cement is not high in the early strength. According to the present invention, nanometer indium oxide is added into the high belite cement and stirred evenly, wherein the mass ratio of nanometer indium oxide and the high belite cement is (9-4999):1; as the added nanometer indium oxide can stimulate the early activity of C2S to accelerate the hydration rate so as to generate more gels; therefore, the crystal forms of hydration products are regulated and controlled and the early strength of the high belite cement is improved. The present invention efficiently solves the problem that the industrial energy consumption of the cement is high, provides a method which is simple and easy to operate and improves the early strength of the high belite cement, and is low in production cost and easy to popularize.
