The invention discloses an edge tamping plate device of a screed of a paver. The edge tamping plate device comprises a high frequency vibrator, a hydraulic motor, roller assemblies, an edge tamping plate baseplate and a bearing seat. The bearing seat is fixed onto the edge tamping plate baseplate; the high frequency vibrator is installed on the bearing seat and used for driving the edge tamping plate baseplate to perform compaction; the hydraulic motor is fixed onto the edge tamping plate baseplate and used for driving the high frequency vibrator to perform vibration operation. The edge tamping plate device of the screed of the paver is connected to two ends of the screed, the edge tamping plate baseplate is positioned at two sides of a pavement, the high frequency vibrator performs vibration, so that the edge tamping plate baseplate performs compaction on the two end faces of the pavement, the issue of compaction of ends in super-thick paving is solved by using the eccentric vibration principle, the pavement is prevented from loosening and collapsing, the forming quality of the pavement is improved, the construction cost is lowered, and the edge tamping plate device of the screed of the paver has good economic benefits.
