The invention discloses a riverway dredging method, wherein a net bag with a front opening and a rear opening is pulled by a traction device, the traction device is connected to the upper side part of the front opening of the net bag by a pull rope, sludge is shoveled and scraped by the lower side part of the front opening of the net bag when the net bag slides along and on a riverbed, the sludge is mixed with water into a mud-water mixture through rubbing of the net bag, and the mud-water mixture is sucked by a sucking pipe stretched into the net bag, so that a dredging operation is realized. The dredging method has a simple structure, low dredging cost, high dredging efficiency and low requirements for a coastal environment of a riverway.
