The invention discloses a demounting device and method for emptied and suspended buildings. The demounting device comprises a support structure and a demounting structure, wherein the support structure comprises equal-support leg steel and steel sheets, wherein the equal-support leg steel is arranged on two web plates of an H-shaped steel column, and the steel sheets are arranged on the equal-support leg steel; the demounting structure comprises a first bracket platform, a second bracket platform, helical jacks and steel pipes, wherein the helical jacks are arranged on the first bracket platform, and the steel pipes are arranged between the helical jacks and the second bracket platform. The demounting method includes numbering the steel columns and determining the demounting sequence of the steel columns; acquiring axial force data and deflection data of the steel columns; determining the model number of the jacks and the thickness of the steel sheets; setting up the demounting device at the welding joint positions of the steel columns; calculating and checking bearing capacity of the support structures and the demounting structures of the steel columns; cutting and demounting the welding joints of the steel columns according to the demounting sequence. The demounting device and method can demount the emptied and suspended buildings and has the advantages of convenience in operation and high safety.
