The present invention discloses a heat insulating refractory brick, and relates to the technical field of manufacturing of refractory materials, the heat insulating refractory brick includes the following raw materials by weight: 25 parts to 35 parts of bauxite clinker, 30 parts to 40 parts of silica powder, 15 parts to 20 parts of combined clay and 5 parts to 8 parts of calcium aluminate cement; and the heat insulating refractory brick is prepared by dosing, mixing, blank preparation, drying and firing. Compared with the prior art, the heat insulating refractory brick is high in strength, high temperature resistant, and low in thermal conductivity, is used as boiler wall heat insulation material, is good in heat insulation effect, makes boiler heat dissipation slow, and is energy-saving.
