The corner damper comprises a regular octagonal torque transmission component, a transmission annular steel plate, a fixed annular steel plate, damping materials, a metal case, bearings and a fixed support frame, wherein regular octagonal bearings are arranged on convex teeth arranged at one side equipped with the damper; regular octagonal holes are formed in convex teeth arranged at the other side; regular octagonal pin shafts are used for connecting the convex teeth; the damper is put into the outwards extending pin shafts; and when the convex teeth arranged at the two sides relatively rotate, the convex teeth can drive the regular octagonal torque transmission component so that the damping materials clamped between the transmission annular steel plate and the fixed annular steel plate generate shearing deformation. The corner damper can be arranged at a building hinging point to perform vibration control on a building structure; the requirement on the building space is small; and after the installation, the influence on the structure, the normal use function and the attractive appearance of the building is small. The corner damper has the advantages that the energy-consumption efficiency is high; the installation and the arrangement are flexible; and the repair and the replacement are convenient and fast, and the like.
