The invention discloses a vertical ladder opening barrier and a ship comprising the same. The vertical ladder opening barrier comprises a barrier mechanism, a supporting rod and a fence fixed to the supporting rod, wherein the fence comprises an opening side. The vertical ladder opening barrier further comprises a guillotine mechanism used for sealing the opening side. The guillotine mechanism comprises an upper connecting rod and a lower connecting rod which are hinged to the barrier mechanism, and a transmission connecting rod is hinged between the upper connecting rod and the lower connecting rod. The barrier mechanism is further provided with a shelf where the upper connecting rod is placed. By means of the vertical ladder opening barrier, when the guillotine mechanism is not used, the four sides of an entrance of a vertical ladder are closed, and the protection intensity is quite high with the blockage of the upper connecting rod and the lower connecting rod. Meanwhile, the guillotine mechanism is easy to start and stop, and works can go in and out conveniently.
