The invention provides an inorganic fire-proof light aggregate expanded perlite heat retaining board and a preparation method thereof; the heat retaining board is composed of the following raw materials in parts by weight: 30-41 parts of expanded perlite, 0.9-1.2 parts of polypropylene fiber, 0.6 part of a hydrophobic agent, 0.1-0.4 part of a mould inhibitor, 44-49 parts of sodium silicate, 8-10 parts of a film-forming additive, 12-18 parts of a light aggregate,15-20 parts of distilled water, and 4-8 parts of a redispersable emulsion powder. In the ratio of the heat retaining board provided by the invention, and with cooperation of the reasonable amount of the hydrophobic perlite, the light aggregate, the polypropylene fiber and the like, the inorganic fire-proof light aggregate expanded perlite heat retaining board meeting national standards is prepared through a reasonable physical method and a reasonable chemical method. A whole heat retaining system of the inorganic fire-proof light aggregate expanded perlite heat retaining board is a relatively safe and reliable heat retaining system. The heat retaining board has the advantages of low density, high bonding strength, high tensile strength and good water resistance, and has the performance completely in conformity with requirements of modern building materials.
