The invention relates to a steel wire with a zinc-aluminum coating and an epoxy coating for a sling. The steel wire comprises a bright steel wire body of a core. The bright steel wire body is sequentially coated with the zinc-aluminum coating and the epoxy coating. The content of aluminum in the zinc-aluminum coating is 4.2-7.2 wt%, and the thickness of the epoxy coating ranges from 0.2 mm to 0.4 mm. The steel wire is formed by plating the bright steel wire body with the zinc-aluminum coating and electrostatically spraying the epoxy coating on the bright steel wire body in sequence. The surface of the steel wire forming the sling is provided with the zinc-aluminum coating and the epoxy coating from inside to outside, and the corrosion resisting performance of the sling is improved.
