The invention relates to a steel wire with a zinc-aluminum clad layer and an epoxy resin coating for a sling. The steel wire comprises a bright steel wire body located on the core portion, and the outer layer of the bright steel wire body is sequentially coated with the zinc-aluminum clad layer and the epoxy resin coating. The content of aluminum in the zinc-aluminum clad layer is 4.2-7.2 wt%, and the thickness of the epoxy resin coating is 0.2-0.4 mm. The steel wire is formed in the way that the bright steel wire body is sequentially plated with the zinc-aluminum clad layer and coated with the epoxy resin coating in an electrostatic mode. The zinc-aluminum clad layer and the epoxy resin coating are arranged on the surface of the steel wire for forming the sling from inside to outside, and therefore the corrosion resistance of the sling is improved.
