The invention discloses a ceramic tile adhesive for building and belongs to the technical field of building materials. The ceramic tile adhesive is prepared from the following raw materials, by weight, 10-30 parts of an acrylicester copolymer emulsion, 10-20 parts of maleic anhydride, 5-15 parts of hydroxyethylmethylcellulose, 5-15 parts of resin rubber powder, 10-30 parts of silicon powder, 5-15 parts of calcium bicarbonate, 5-15 parts of magnesium chloride and 1-10 parts of talcum powder. The ceramic tile adhesive is convenient to construct and can be used only by adding a proper amount of clear water and stirring. Ceramic tiles to be adhered need not be soaked in water but can directly be adhered. The ceramic tile adhesive has high bonding strength and fast hardening speed. Service life of various auxiliary materials can be greatly prolonged and decorative effect can be enhanced, and safety is high. The ceramic tile adhesive has good water-retaining property, peaceability and flow fall resistance, and is convenient to use.
