The invention belongs to the technical field of paints, and particularly relates to a granite-like paint which is prepared by the following steps: adding 15 parts by weight of ethylene glycol, 2-4 parts by weight of dispersing agent, 40-50 parts by weight of 3% hydroxyethyl cellulose solution, 30-40 parts by weight of 10% inorganic gel, 1-2 parts by weight of wetting agent and 100-160 parts by weight of water into a dispersion kettle, dispersing uniformly, adjusting the rotation speed to 600 r/min, adding 500-550 parts by weight of granite powder, dispersing for 3-5 minutes, sequentially adding 3-4 parts by weight of defoaming agent, 50-70 parts by weight of rigid polymer emulsion, 50-60 parts by weight of elastic polymer emulsion and 5-6 parts by weight of film-forming assistant, stirring for 5 minutes, adding 10-15 parts by weight of thickener and 20 parts by weight of water, and dispersing for 30 minutes to obtain the granite-like paint. The granite-like paint has the stone sensation of the traditional natural stone paint. The coated film has comparable textures with the external wall ceramic tile, and has high simulation effect.
