The invention provides a novel hand basin. The novel hand basin comprises a supporting wall; the supporting wall is fixedly connected with at least one support; the support is fixedly provided with a basin body; the basin body has an opening; the side edge of the opening of the basin body is horizontally provided with a hand washing bench; the hand washing bench has a plane; a faucet is arranged on the plate at the side of the opening; the bottom of the basin body is provided with a water outlet; the water outlet is connected with a communicating vessel; the communicating vessel is provided with a first interface and a second interface; the first interface is connected with a water outlet pipe and the second interface is connected with an air outlet pipe; the air outlet pipe has a first end and a second end; and the first end of the air outlet pipe is connected with the second interface of the communicating vessel, and the second end of the air outlet pipe is higher than the first end. According to the invention, air is discharged out in time through the air outlet pipe, so water can be smoothly and rapidly discharged out from the water outlet; thus, draining efficiency is improved.
