The invention relates to a novel environment-friendly hand basin which is composed of a split tap valve, a split tap, a hose, a hand basin body, a plug, a drain pipe, a tee joint, a drain valve, a drain pipe 1, a boss, a soap box, a towel holder and a drain pipe 2. The split tap is connected with one end of the hose, and can be pulled out and lifted up from one end, the 'swan neck', of the hand basin during use so as to bring convenience to people in washing hair, giving a bath for children and the like. Certain height difference is formed between the boss and the basin surface, so that water is prevented from overflowing from the basin surface when the hand basin is used, and effective water-retaining effect is achieved; the towel holder is made in the shape of the swan tail, fixed below the boss and used for hanging small items such as towels, socks and the like; the tee joint is connected to the drain pipe and used for classifying and recycling waste water.
