The construction method for building the artificial island through the steel mould comprises the steps that fixed piles are driven; the mould is erected; plate piles are inserted; hydraulic reclamation is carried out; and vacuum preloading and curing treatment are carried out. The steel mould is simple in structural design, and easy to manufacture and process, convenience and reliability are achieved when the steel mould is used for building the artificial island, and construction efficiency is greatly improved.
