Stop rods are connected with one end of the main shaft, the cam is connected with the other end of the main shaft, the main shaft bearing is connected to the outer edge of the main shaft in a sleeving mode, the outer wall of the main shaft bearing is perpendicular to the machine core bottom plate, and the machine core bottom plate is provided with a through hole for the main shaft to penetrate through. The cam is characterized in that peak points and valley points are arranged on the cam and evenly distributed on the outer edge of the cam at intervals, the cam is composed of three layers of materials, an upper cam layer plate and a lower cam layer plate are made of stainless steel materials, and a middle cam plate is made of silica gel materials. The embodiment of the invention further provides an operation method of the tripod turnstile. According to the cam of the tripod turnstile and the operation method of the tripod turnstile, a cam in the prior art is improved, the cam is made of stainless steel and silica gel, the silica gel has the good abrasive resistance and the self-lubrication feature, the situation of drying rubbing of a push rod bearing is avoided, and therefore noise given out by the machine core is lowered.
