The invention relates to a compensation and adjustment method for anchor cable prestress loss. The compensation and adjustment method is carried out according to the following process steps that a, debris on an exposed steel strand is cleaned up; b, a slip implement and a slip are installed, and displacement limitation is conducted; c, a connecting screw penetrates through a connecting anchorage device, and the connecting anchorage device is screwed into the slip implement; d, a supporting frame, a jack, a sensor and a tool anchor are installed, then stretching-drawing is conducted; e, displacement happens to an outer anchorage device; when required locking force is reached through stretching-drawing, semi-closed steel gaskets are put under the outer anchorage device; f, the jack and the supporting frame are removed, and the slip, the slip implement and the like are taken out; and g, preservative treatment is conducted on the outer anchorage device.
