The invention provides an anti-seepage leakage stop material and a preparation method thereof. Raw materials of the anti-seepage leakage stop material comprise cottonseed hull fragments, gypsum, an expanding agent, cement and water. By adding the cottonseed hull fragments into the cement, the tensile strength of cement mortar is improved; meanwhile, by using the cottonseed hull fragments, the cost of the anti-seepage leakage stop material can be greatly lowered, and the anti-seepage leakage stop material is widely applied to tunnel and underground structure projects, mine excavation projects, water conservancy and hydropower foundation reinforcement projects and the like.
