The preparing method comprises the steps that fluorgypsum is ground and smashed, and thermal treatment is carried out; water is added in kaolin, then blending is carried out to obtain pulp, sodium hexametaphosphate and sodium hydroxide are added, stirring is carried out in water bath, standing is carried out, the upperlayer slurry is taken and centrifugally separated, drying and smashing are carried out, and modified kaolin is obtained; desulfurization gypsum, ardealite and water are added in the fluorgypsum obtained after thermal treatment and are evenly stirred, the modified kaolin is added after the temperature is increased, stirring and cooling standing are carried out, an exciting agent is added and evenly mixed, roasting is carried out, the mixture is cooled to the room temperature, a light material, blend fibers, a water-retaining agent, an active agent, polyvinyl alcohol and a foaming modifier are sequentially added and evenly stirred, standing aging and fine grinding are carried out, and the modified fluorgypsum powder for the plastering anhydrite is obtained. The modified fluorgypsum powder is short in condensing time and excellent in mechanical strength, all performance indexes of the modified fluorgypsum powder exceed the requirements of the standard of the plastering anhydrite, the modified fluorgypsum powder can be used as a wall plastering material, and the waste fluorgypsum is turned into wealth.
