The invention discloses modified fluorgypsum powder for a wall material. The modified fluorgypsum powder comprises, by weight, 100 parts of fluorgypsum, 30-50 parts of coal ash powder, 2-5 parts of aluminosilicate, 3-8 parts of sulfate, 3-6 parts light material, 2-5 parts of complex fiber, 2-5 parts of water-proof agent and 1-2 parts of foaming modifier. The coal ash powder is prepared through the steps that coal ash is added in a mixed acid solution, temperature raising and stirring are carried out, cooling, standing, filtering, drying and grinding are carried out, and then the mixture is evenly mixed with sea-foam stone powder and hydroxymethyl cellulose. The modified fluorgypsum powder is prepared through the steps that the fluorgypsum is ground, water is added for stirring, the aluminosilicate is added after the temperature is raised, the sulfate is added to carry out roasting, and then the coal ash powder, the light material, the complex fiber, the water-proofing agent and the foaming modifier are sequentially added and mixed to obtain the modified fluorgypsum powder. The modified fluorgypsum powder meets the requirements for the water absorption, strength and the like of the wall materials, and is good in density, low in heat conduction coefficient, good in product comprehensive performance and simple in preparing technology.
