The invention relates to the building material field, and concretely relates to a lightweight building material. The lightweight building material comprises the following raw materials, by weight, 80-150 parts of cement, 60-120 parts of fly ash, 5-10 parts of wood fibers, 30-60 parts of closed pore perlite, 60-90 parts of peanut shell particles, 3-8 parts of diatomite and 3-8 parts of water reducers. The lightweight building material employs waste of fly ash and peanut shell particles as main raw materials, has an important meaning to environmental protection, and has characteristics of high intensity, endurance and light weight.
