The gypsum is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 13-18 parts of a cementing material, 78-81 parts of a fireproof material, 2-3 parts of a defoaming agent, 1-2 parts of an anti-cracking agent, 1-2 parts of a retarder, 12-14 parts of modified cyanate ester resin, 4-6 parts of nano silicon dioxide and 4-6 parts of nano aluminum oxide. The preparation method comprises the following steps: adding the fireproof material into mixing equipment, and stirring for 6-8 minutes; adding the cementing material, and performing mixed stirring for 10 minutes; adding the defoaming agent and the anti-cracking agent, and performing mixed stirring for 10-15 minutes; adding the nano silicon dioxide, the nano aluminum oxide and an additive, then stirring for 5-10 minutes, then adding the retarder, and stirring uniformly. The gypsum powder used for modified jewelry casting, provided by the invention, not only has a relatively long effective stirring time but also has a suitable initial setting time and a suitable final setting time, the product is high in strength and wide in adaptive range and is high-temperature-resistant, and the preparation process is simple, is easy to operate and is beneficial for industrial production.
