The invention provides an automatic pool bottom cleaning system of an ascending and descending swimming pool. The automatic pool bottom cleaning system comprises pool bottom water supply openings (2) of an ascending and descending type lateral water outlet swimming pool, a swimming pool purification system (3), an electromagnetic valve (8), a draining tank (9) and a pool bottom (10) of the ascending and descending swimming pool. The pool bottom water supply openings (2) of the ascending and descending type lateral water outlet swimming pool are sequentially opened according to a sequence from a far position to a near position away from the draining tank; a pool bottom deposited sludge region (7) is flushed by lateral water flow impact force; the sludge flows to the draining tank (9) along the slope of the pool bottom (10) of the ascending and descending swimming pool; and the goal of automatically cleaning the pool bottom of the swimming pool is achieved.
