The invention relates to a portable ladder suitable for a large ore carrier. The portable ladder suitable for the large ore carrier comprises ladder columns (1) and ladder steps (2) connected between the ladder columns fixedly; a gib head is arranged on the top of each ladder column; the bottoms of the ladder columns are hinged to a platform (4), and the width of the platform is greater than the distance between the two ladder columns; alternatively, the bottoms of the ladder columns are hinged with a left platform and a right platform respectively, and the left platform and the right platform are correspondingly hinged to the bottoms of the two ladder columns; and the lower ends of the ladder columns are provided with the platforms, during working, the platforms are put down, workers can step on the platforms, and the platforms are turned upwards and folded when not used. The platforms can be fixed on a profile of a carrier body structure and have an effect of fixing the portable ladder, and the workers can climb the portable ladder through the platforms; the portable ladder is convenient to use, and manufacturing cost is not increased; and regardless of the structure of a carrier body, the workers can climb up and down the ladder smoothly. The shortcoming that the weight of the carrier body is increased or construction is troublesome due to two solutions used for increasing the area of platforms in the prior art is overcome.
