The invention discloses a gangue flame retardation polyethylene fired external wall board and a production method thereof. The board is produced from 20-25 parts of gangue and the like. The external wall board adopts gangue as a main raw material, so the clay resource is saved, the production cost is reduced, the gangue processing problem is solved, and pollution of gangue to environment is avoided; and layered dihydroxy composite metal hydroxide is a multistage superimposed layered structure formed by a layered main body bi-metal hydroxide layer boards and interlayer object anions, has an excellent physical shielding effect on ultraviolet ray, and can effectively improve the ultraviolet ageing resistance. A composite plasticizer composed of diisodecyl phthalate, beta-dione and ammonium polyphosphate is added in the invention to match with an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, so the mechanical properties are improved, the ageing resistance and the processability are improved, and the cable flexibility is increased; and ammonium polyphosphate has the effect of a condensed phase and is combined with magnesium hydroxide to realize a very good flame retardation effect.
