Preparation process of hollow rod-like zirconium boride powder
The invention provides a preparation process of hollow rod-like zirconium boride powder, belonging to the technical field of powder material preparation. The preparation method is characterized by comprising the steps of (1) preparing rod-like zirconium oxide powder, namely heating rod-like zirconium tetrachloride powder as a raw material to 900-1100 DEG C, preserving the heat for 10-60 minutes, carrying out water quenching, and then, drying to obtain the rod-like zirconium oxide powder, wherein a water quenching solution is an ammonia solution; (2) preparing carbon powder, namely curing thermosetting phenol-formaldehyde resin as a raw material at the temperature of 80-120 DEG C, calcining at the argon atmosphere and the temperature of 600-800 DEG C, and pyrolyzing to generate the carbon powder; and (3) preparing rod-like zirconium boride powder, namely breaking the carbon powder firstly, then, mixing rod-like zirconium oxide, boric acid and the carbon powder according to the molar ratio of 1:(2.4-5):5, sintering at the argon atmosphere and the temperature of 1700-1750 DEG C, and heating at the speed of 10-15 DEG C/minute to obtain the hollow rod-like zirconium boride powder. The preparation process is low in sintering temperature, simple in process, safe in operation, low in cost and easy to industrialize; and the prepared hollow rod-like zirconium boride powder is relatively small in wall thickness.
