Ceramic backing for submerged-arc welding
The invention discloses a ceramic backing for submerged-arc welding. The ceramic backing comprises a fiberglass fabric (1), a ceramic backing block (2) and aluminum-foil pressure-sensitive tape (3). The surface of the backing block is covered with a layer of the fiberglass fabric, and the backing block is bonded to the aluminum-foil pressure-sensitive tape; the width of the backing block is not smaller than 35 mm. Through a preferable backing block formula, the viscosity and the fusion interval of backing slags are controlled. The surface of the backing block is covered with the soft fiberglass fabric, and therefore the binding property of the backing block and a steel plate is improved. The width of the backing is larger than 35 mm, therefore, a hot influence area and a high temperature area can be avoided, and then the aluminum-foil pressure-sensitive tape can achieve enough support force in welding. When the ceramic backing is used for submerged-arc welding, an appropriate amount of iron powder can be added into a groove according to the changes of a groove gap, and therefore one-time submerged-arc one-side welding forming of the steel plate with the thickness about 20 mm can be achieved.
