CERAMIC BACKING MATERIAL FOR HORIZONTAL WELDING
A ceramic backing material for lateral welding comprises: a ceramic body arranged on a back surface of a welding portion of an upper base material and a lower base material vertically arranged in a line; a bead groove formed at the center of the front surface of the ceramic body in the longitudinal direction of the ceramic body, and filled with a welding melting material to form a back surface bead; an upper contact surface formed on an upper portion of the front surface of the ceramic body and coming in contact with the upper base material; and a lower contact surface formed on a lower portion of the front surface of the ceramic body and coming in contact with the lower base material. A conductive block is attached to the front surface of the ceramic body and is melted when welding to play a filler role to prevent an undercut on an upper portion of the bead groove and maintain an arc.
본 횡향 용접용 세라믹 백킹재는 수직방향으로 일렬로 배치되는 상부 모재 및 하부 모재의 용접부 이면에 배치되는 세라믹 바디와, 상기 세라믹 바디의 전면 중앙에 세라믹 바디의 길이방향으로 형성되고 용접 용융물이 채워져 이면 비드를 형성하는 비드홈과, 상기 세라믹 바디의 전면 상부에 형성되고 상부 모재에 접촉되는 상부 접촉면과, 세라믹 바디의 전면 하부에 형성되고 하부 모재에 접촉되는 하부 접촉면을 포함하고, 상기 세라믹 바디의 전면에는 아크 유지 및 비드홈의 상부에 언더컷이 발생되는 것을 방지하도록 용접시 용융되어 충진재 역할을 하는 통전 블럭이 부착된다.
