The invention provides a novel imitation wood floor and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing waste plastic with fly ash according to the proportion; adding an additive for homogenization; drying, pelletizing and carrying out compression molding to prepare a floor base material plate; carrying out surface treatment on the floor base material plate to obtain an imitation wood floor finished product. People are less prone to slip when walking on the prepared imitation wood floor, and the imitation wood floor is less prone to generate radiation, fireproof, dampproof, insect damage resistant and low in expansion coefficient; solid wastes, namely, fly ash and waste plastic are used to prepare the imitation wood floor, so that the solid wastes can be fully used, the additional value of the used products is greatly increased, recycling of waste materials is achieved, a site resource occupied by landfill and energy consumed by incineration are reduced, the imitation wood floor conforms to the national conventional state of solid wastes, practical popularization and application are facilitated, and the imitation wood floor has important economical, social, ecological and environmental protection significance.
