The invention relates to a construction method for deep foundation pit excavation on steep slope terrain. The method comprises: arranging a main detour to enter a base structure to construct, in a range of the main detour to the base structure, excavating a ballast collection platform; excavating a slope crest along the side slope on the upper side of the ballast collection platform upward to a design foundation pit, excavating a ballast sliding channel from the slope crest to the ballast collection platform; building a detour used for a mechanical device to enter the foundation pit on the proper position of a hillside toward the top of the foundation pit; excavating layer by layer from the side slope crest of the foundation pit from top to bottom, constructing slope protection in time, rock blasting using a left-right subdivision method; after an excavator accesses from a foundation pit top, the excavator going down layer by layer with excavation, until the excavator goes down to an elevation position of a mucking channel, the excavator going out from the mucking channel; the sliding ballast sliding to the ballast collection platform in the foundation pit along a ballast sliding slope being loaded in a handling vehicle by the excavator and being carried away from the mucking channel of the foundation pit. The method solves problems that a plurality of detours accessing and leaving the foundation pit cannot be arranged on a steep slope terrain, and a problem that ballast cannot slide down from a slope in foundation pit excavation is solved.
