The invention discloses a method for preventing water and soil loss in a refuse dump. According to the method, prefabricated beveled water diversion boards and longitudinal water drainage boards are laid on a side slope to form a pectinated slope water diversion system and a longitudinal water drainage system, and rain water on the slope is guided to flow down into a water drainage ditch in the bottom of the slope along the slope water diversion system and the longitudinal drainage system; in this way, the situation that corrodible slope channel flow is formed by rainfall is effectively prevented, and water and soil loss is reduced to the maximum extent; the materials and technology adopted for manufacturing the beveled water diversion boards and the longitudinal water drainage boards are similar to those adopted for manufacturing asbestos tiles, so that production cost is low.
