The invention provides a reclamation method for preventing and controlling water and soil loss of a side slope of a waste dump. The reclamation method mainly comprises the following steps: performing land parcel preparation on the side slope of the waste dump, manufacturing ecological rods, paving the ecological rods according to a zigzag structure, sowing grass seeds on the side slope of the waste dump, and performing sprinkling irrigation on the grass seeds regularly. According to the method for preventing and treating water and soil loss of the waste dump slope, the ecological rods are laid on the surface of the slope according to the zigzag structure, the structure is simple, the water flow speed can be effectively decreased, and water and soil loss is avoided; the ecological rod prepared by the method contains grass seeds, has a water locking function, can germinate after being watered and is integrated with slope plants, so that water and soil are kept, and the overall landscape effect is ensured.
