A method for harmlessly preparing sulfate binding material through electrolysis zinc acid leached residues includes the following steps of firstly, preparing electrolysis zinc acid leached residues, heavy metal ion curing stabilizer and activating agent; secondly, conducting roasting for 15-60 min in the oxidizing atmosphere with temperature of 950 DEG C to 1300 DEG C and excess air coefficient of 1.1-1.8 to prepare cooked residues; thirdly, directly grinding the cooked residues into powder with grain size of 80 microns and screen residue of 12wt% or lower, or grinding 60-99wt% of cooked residues and 1-40wt% of auxiliary materials into powder with grain size of 80 microns and screen residues of 12wt% or lower, and then obtaining the sulfate binding material. The method is simple, practical and free of secondary pollution; water-resistant and salt-corrosion-resistant binding material and building material products are effectively produced through zinc acid leached residues, high-quality materials can be provided for construction work, and the consumption of environment resources and energy and the pollution to the environment in the traditional binding material and building material product production process can be greatly reduced.
