The invention discloses a method for harmlessly preparing ceramsite by removing arsenic and antimony from arsenic-alkali leaching residues. The method comprises the following steps: mixing matrix components containing arsenic alkali leaching residues, quartz sand and alumina powder with a solid carbonaceous regulator, adding water to make pellets, and roasting the pellets to obtain the arsenic alkali leaching residues. According to the method, removal and recovery of arsenic and antimony in the arsenic-alkali leaching residues can be realized by using the same process while ceramsite is prepared, the problem that the arsenic-alkali leaching residues cannot be completely digested due to high toxicity and high alkalinity is solved, and meanwhile, volatile arsenic and antimony can be recovered and returned to an antimony smelting main system by cooling and capturing smoke dust; according to the method, waste of valuable metal and pollution of arsenic are avoided, low-cost and high-value treatment of the arsenic alkali leaching residues is achieved, the prepared ceramic particles are high in strength and small in density and can be applied to the fields of building materials and the like, and the method is short in process, low in cost and capable of achieving industrial application.
