The invention discloses a colorimetric pool ceramic block material, which comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 50% of Ti(C,N), 30% of Al2O3, 1% of MgO, 0.5% of Y2O3, 10% of ZrO2, 5% of SiO2, and 3.5% of mixture of Ni and Mo, wherein weight ratio of C to N is 7:3, weight ratio of Ni to Mo is 1:1, the ultrafine Al2O3 powder has a size of 0.1 to 0.2 millimeter, the purity of Al2O3 is greater than 99.9%, the particle sizes of Ti(C,N), MgO, Ni and Mo are all in a range of 0.5 to 1 millimeter, and the purities are greater than 99%. The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing raw materials in a stirred mill, taking industrial alcohol as the medium and hard alloy balls as the grinding medium, carrying out ball milling for 48 to 72 hours; drying through baking, blowing the mixture by the flows of nitrogen gas with a temperature of 100 DEG C; sieving, performing hot pressing, and sintering. A raw material namely titanium carbide/nitride with a C/N ratio of 7:3 is adopted, the HV50 of prepared colorimetric pool ceramic block material is in a range of 1750 to 1850, the material hardness is reduced, and the material processability and processing efficiency are both improved.
