The invention discloses a stone step mountain road provided with a gradient of 8-12 degrees. The stone step mountain road comprises stone step plates (2), wherein each stone step plate (2) is cut by the shape of a right-angled parallelepiped; a mountain road is built by the gradient of an included angle (3) between the paved stone step plates (2) and a horizontal plane (1), wherein the included angle (3) is 8-12 degrees; and included angles of 100 degrees are formed between pavement planes of the stone step plates (2) and a vertical plane. The stone step mountain road is suitable for mountain road building of parks, scenic spots and body building footpaths, changes the characteristic of horizontal paving of traditional mountain way pavements, builds the traditional mountain way pavements to stone step plate surface mountain roads with several gradients, enables tourists and body builders to feel easy and comfortable when walking on the mountain road, and has the advantages of preventing the injury of knee and ankle jointd and reducing the fatigue of leg muscles.
