The invention discloses a material conveying device of a material spreader for road construction. The material conveying device comprises a cart body. A cavity is formed in the cart body, and a transmission part is arranged in the cavity and in rotation connection with the cart body. The material conveying device is characterized in that a material outlet is formed in the cart body, and a hinging part is arranged at the material outlet and connected with a conveying extension part which is capable of stretching out of and retracting into the cavity relative to the material outlet. According to the technical scheme of the material conveying device, materials can be conveyed into a spreading device from the conveying device, and the material conveying device can act in different working states of the spreading device, so that operation space is saved, and the process cohesion is good.
