The invention discloses a prefabricated square pier and a production method thereof. The prefabricated square pier comprises a first cubic reinforcement framework arranged vertically, outer cage ribs, inner cage ribs and a second cubic reinforcement framework. The outer cage ribs, the inner cage ribs and the second cubic reinforcement framework are arranged from the outside to the inside of the first cubic reinforcement framework in sequence. Central lines of the second cubic reinforcement framework, the first cubic reinforcement framework, the outer cage ribs and the inner cage ribs coincide. Multiple inner stirrups arranged on different frame rods are mutually connected so as to form a broken line shape on the sides of the inner cage ribs. The part between the first cubic reinforcement framework, the outer cage ribs, the inner cage ribs and the second cubic reinforcement framework is filled with concrete, and the interior of the prefabricated square pier is hollow. According to the prefabricated square pier and the production method thereof, the prefabricated square pier can be mounted in the riverway directly without piling and feeding in the riverway, and accordingly the construction progress is accelerated, time and cost are lowered, and the environment problem caused by site construction is solved.
