The invention relates to high-pressure formed porcelain clay and a preparation method thereof. The porcelain clay comprises components in percentage by mass as follows: 25%-28% of ball clay, 12%-14% of feldspar, 9%-12% of kaolin, 2%-4% of black soil, 35%-45% of elutriation mud and 5%-7% of dolomite. The porcelain clay has the characteristics of high-pressure forming, low sintering temperature and high strength. The preparation method is simple to operate, and the ratio of the kaolin to the dolomite is given originally, so that the formed porcelain clay has fewer cracks, high density and high flatness, and can be formed by a high-pressure grouting machine at a high pressure higher than 11 atmospheres, and the sintered porcelain clay has the characteristics of low sintering temperature and high strength.
