The invention discloses a key for a vane lock. The key comprises a key handle and a key piece. The key piece comprises two side faces and two flat end faces located between the two side faces. The two flat end faces are each provided with two curved grooves. The key is characterized in that lock tooth reference positioning points are arranged on the two side walls of each curved groove. Compared with the prior art, the lock tooth reference positioning points are arranged on the two side walls of the curved grooves, lock teeth are attached to the left side walls or the right side walls of the curved grooves, the matching tolerance of the lock teeth and the curved grooves is effectively reduced, machining is convenient, and the lock is good in reliability.
