An accommodating openable top cap of a folding ladder is characterized by comprising an upper cover body and a lower cover body, wherein the upper cover body is hinged to the lower cover body, so as to form the top cap which has a closed state and an open state; when the top cap is in the closed state, the upper cover body and the lower cover body are overlapped up and down in a direction perpendicular to a horizontal plane, the lower surface of the upper cover body is in fit with the upper surface of the lower cover body, and the upper surface of the upper cover body serves as a first working table surface; when the top cap is in the open mode, the lower surface of the upper cover body and the upper surface of the lower cover body are arranged in parallel on the horizontal plane, and form a second working table surface; the lower surface of the lower cover body is fixedly arranged at the top of the folding ladder. According to the top cap, daily requirements can be met in the conventional closed state without increasing the thickness of the whole ladder when less tools are in use, while when the number of the tools is large, the top cap can be opened to enlarge the size of a table surface.
