Recycling method of waste refractory materials in magnesium metal smelting
Waste refractory materials which account for 10% of yield of magnesium metal from magnesium metal plants are used as solid wastes to be discharged yearly. Components of waste refractory materials are mainly aluminium oxide and silicon dioxide. Content of ferric oxide in waste refractory materials with low content of aluminium oxide is high, and a part of abandoned waste aluminum silicate fiber is also discharged. Waste refractory materials and waste aluminosilicate refractory fiber are respectively collected, stored, crushed and ground; waste refractory material powder and sulfuric acid react to remove lots of ferric oxide and a few aluminium oxide, dehydrated and dried waste refractory material powder is blended with a part of waste aluminosilicate refractory fiber according to needs, and the mixture is added into a two-phase electric furnace to prepare aluminosilicate refractory fiber. A waste acid liquid is used to prepare a flocculant polyaluminium sulfate and ferric sulfate for wastewater treatment. A cleaning solution is collected to be used for acid liquor preparation.
