The invention belongs to the technical field of concrete additives in building materials and provides a polycarboxylate-type water reducing agent mother liquid, a preparation method and an application thereof. The polycarboxylate-type water reducing agent mother liquid is prepared from unsaturated polyoxyethylene ether, a chain transfer agent, unsaturated acid and/or unsaturated acid derivatives, an initiator and water. The polycarboxylate-type water reducing agent mother liquid is prepared through a one-step method. A water reducing agent is compounded from the mother liquid, preferably-selected slump-retaining components, a defoamer and water. The water reducing agent prepared from the mother liquid is low in doping quantity, is high in water reducing efficiency, is good in water retention and slump retaining effects and has good cement adaptability. The production process is simple, is less in investment and device and is low in cost. The polycarboxylate-type water reducing agent has excellent slump degree keeping capability, can significantly improve disintegration and bleeding in concrete, can improve operation performance, mechanical performance and durability of concrete, thereby improving building engineering quality and prolonging service life of buildings.
