The invention discloses a cement-free exterior wall insulation board bonding mortar. The shortages of prior art are overcome. In one aspect, cement is not used, thus the using amount of cement is reduced, and in another aspect, a novel method is provided to reutilize fly ash. The cement-free exterior wall insulation board bonding mortar is composed of cement-free mortar master batch and additives; wherein the cement-free mortar master batch is composed of the following components in percentage by weight: 10 to 40% of ultrafine fly ash, 50 to 87% of sand, 2 to 10% of lime, and 0 to 3% of gypsum, the additives comprise 0.10 to 1.00% of redispersable latex powder, a water retaining agent, and a functional additive, and the functional additive is one or more of cellulose fiber, an antifoaming agent, and a retarder. The prepared cement-free exterior wall insulation board bonding mortar has the advantages of excellent performance, good early setting effect, simple preparation method, and low cost. Furthermore, the using amount of cement is reduced, and a large amount of fly ash is used.
